OUR STORY

Our love story began back in 2011 at Cowboy Jacks in Plymouth. I was out for dinner with some friends. One of my friends noticed Rob and just had to ask what size shoe he wore. Rob giggled and asked why he wanted to know (my friend and Rob are very tall) and my friend owns a store for XL shoes. The boys hit it off and then I was privileged to meet "the big foot" Rob. It happened to be Karaoke night in which Rob LOVES to sing & dance. He melted my heart with his charming country songs and his smooth moves on the dance floor. It was love from then on.
Four years later our fairy tale continued as we married in 2015. We have two fur babies Bell & Violet. Our loving black lab & black cat. Bell, is 7 years old and our cat, Violet, is 4 years old. Bell is just the sweetest dog & Violet has young energy which is always entertaining to watch & makes us laugh every day.
We moved to St. Michael in 2018 and feel blessed to have such an amazing family friendly neighborhood. There are multiple families around us that we spend time with having the occasional bbq's, sitting around the fire or just playing a good game of corn hole. We enjoy taking walks to Walnut Park which has a nice big playground, picnic tables and soccer fields conveniently right around the corner from our house. There's always families out and about with lots of children to play with in the neighborhood.
Our day to day life is simple. Rob is currently working at Caliber Collision in Plymouth as an Automotive Painter but plans to become a stay at home dad when the time comes. Sarah works at Northpark Dental as a Dental Hygienist (7:30-6:00) hours sometimes vary Monday-Friday (Tue off). In the evenings we typically make dinner together and wind down watching a tv show. However, Rob is quite the busy body & can usually be found tinkering with something durning the week. The weekends are dedicated to family, friends and spending quality time together with our dog & cat.
We both have always loved children. Rob is a child at heart so naturally kids gravitate to his energy and are drawn to his childish charm. He was always surrounded by younger cousins that he would play with and entertain at family gatherings. Sarah growing up loved to babysit in high school & went on to take courses for Elementary Education in college. She took courses related to child development and spent time observing and assisting in the classrooms. Although she changed her major, she works with children on a daily basis as a Dental Hygienist. We enjoy spending time with our two nieces and two nephews and love to see all our friend's children.
We have decided to build our family through adoption due to experiencing infertility. We strongly believe that God does have a plan for us and has led us to where we should be. We are ready to embrace this path to becoming parents.
Us as parents, the most important thing is that our child is happy, healthy and loved. We want to teach our children to be kind and respectful to themselves and others. We plan to be actively involved parents that spend a lot of time with our children and treat them with much love & affection. We plan to teach our children the value of hard work, being honest and respectful to others, and to be compassionate. We want to establish open communication and make sure our child feels a sense of security & trust in us.
